Challenge

EY is one of the most respected professional services networks, globally. Based on their reputation, organisations of all shapes and sizes entrust the strategy, planning and transformation of their businesses to EY. As the digitization of business evolved EY had to lead by example. 

 

Objective

EY operates as a network of member firms, offering everything from EY’s core function of accounting services to HR outsourcing, technology consulting and change management. With EY’s reputation in play, the standard by which its member firms are judged and continually benchmarked is extremely high. So when EY embarked on its own digital transformation journey, utilising its partner network,  it had to meet the exacting expectations of both internal and external audiences.  

 

EY had to demonstrate the collective expertise of its network and guarantee success in order to maintain its global reputation for creating long-term value for its clients. 

 

Solution

The large-scale digital transformation of a global enterprise was no small task. Collaborating with a specialist internal eco-system of over 50 individuals ranging from UI & UX designers, developers, service designers, product architects, business analysts and researchers, ensuring open communication, reliability, and efficiency was key. Ubiquitous throughout this complex project, strategic branding and digital design & implementation were crucial to its success, not only in terms of the solution but also in both creating engagement with internal audiences and providing evidence of the benefits of this approach for EY’s clients.

 

Over a period of 24 months, Nalla delivered a product naming architecture, created a new digital brand platform, consulted on UX/UI design, delivered a UI library of assets and designed the launch event experience. 

 

Supporting EY to lead by example within digital transformation secured Nalla’s position as part of its prestigious member network. It created opportunities to partner on a number of branding and digital transformation projects for EY’s clients. 

 

Results

This started as a story of EY’s digital transformation; however, the story evolved into Nalla’s transformation of a service brief into a long-term partnership with one of the world’s most reputable professional services firms.
